Noel Hunt: Striker linked with move to Leeds after Reading exit

Hunt is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at the Madejski Stadium last month.

A number of clubs are thought to have expressed an interest in the Irishman, but Leeds are in pole position to land the 30-year-old.

Leeds boss Brian McDermott is keen to be reunited with Hunt having worked with the forward during his time in charge of Reading.

McDermott is looking to bolster his attacking options and sees Hunt as a valuable addition to his squad as he looks to build a side capable of challenging for promotion to the Premier League.
