New deal: Sky Bet become Leeds' latest signing

The online betting firm's football traders make the Elland Road club 20/1 shots to finish top and 13/2 to secure promotion back to the Premier League.

The industry-leading prices were unveiled after the bookmaker confirmed a deal to become the Yorkshire club's Official Betting & Gaming Partner from the start of the new season.

Sky Bet's Managing Director, Richard Flint described the deal as a 'fantastic opportunity for two Leeds-based companies to work together'.

"Our trading team, many of whom are big Leeds United supporters, are really looking forward to working with the club to provide quality betting content. They'll also be creating exclusive markets that fans will be unlikely to find with any other betting sites or bookmakers," he said.

Among a raft of specials, Leeds fans can back their club to finish in the top two in the table at 8/1, or be promoted via the play-offs at 14/1.

Brian McDermott's side can also be backed at 4/6 to finish as the leading Yorkshire club in the Championship and 4/1 to complete the double over Sheffield Wednesday and the same price to beat Huddersfield home and away next term.

Leeds (11/8) are also top price to win their opening Championship match of the season against Brighton.

xcellent! Not sure if he is any good as a manager (never thought about it) but the 'headbutt in the technical area' and what he said to Pelligrini were just brilliant, it was as if he was trying to recreate the end of the Alan Partridge Xmas special when Alan punched a man in a wheelchair and verbally abused Tony Heirs.
