The 20-year-old Leeds left-back has been brought into the Cod Army's ranks to compensate for the injuries to Stephen Jordan and Alan Goodall.

Taylor has previously spent time on loan with Bradford, York as well as Inverness and Alexander hopes his stay on the north-west coast will prove a fruitful one.

"He's very highly thought of," Alexander told the club's official website. "Our scouts have seen him in games and he went out on loan twice last season.

"Obviously with the injuries we've got we need to strengthen the squad in that department. He's come with us for a month initially and we'll see how it goes from there. I think he'll enjoy it here and Leeds think very highly of him and I think he's a very good player.

"He played in League Two last year and he played in the SPL. He's 20 years old now and I'm sure he's itching to play. I remember being that age myself and that's the time you think 'right, I should be making a mark on the game now'.

"You're hungry to play and it's important players, whatever age - whether 35 or 20, they're hungry to play and Charlie's definitely that."
