Ross McCormack: Generating plenty of transfer gossip

Ross McCormack: Generating plenty of transfer gossip

Norwich have seen one approach for the free-scoring Scot knocked back this summer, with the acquisition of added firepower a top priority at Carrow Road.

McCormack is a proven marksman at Championship level and Norwich will be back in the second tier next season after suffering relegation out of the Premier League.

Parachute payments would help to fund a move for the likes of McCormack, with the battle to secure his signature set to intensify.

Fulham, another of those to have dropped out of the top flight last season, are also believed to be in the hunt, along with Derby County.

Adams is, however, adamant that his interest has not stretched to the tabling of an eight-figure offer.

He said in the Pink Un: "There is nothing in that. We have made no offer for McCormack.

"I've read about plenty of others as well. What we are doing is looking everywhere, of course, and with agents and players people make assumptions.

"There was another dozen names that I have been linked with and we have supposedly made offers for. That is plainly untrue.

"As and when we do, we will let the supporters and the media know. There is no pulling the wool over the eyes here.

"We have not made a bid for McCormack or for any other players."

Norwich have also been strongly linked with Watford forward Troy Deeney, another of those to have been a regular source of goals in the second tier over recent years.

arish is the man to blame for this shambles. Pulis must be chuckling into his left over turkey sandwich. I pray this doesn't mean the Neil Warnock media machine will kick in now and he'll be back on the telly box.

e almost found a new way to lose, just when I thought it was getting boring Giroud does that. Although Arsenal are deservedly called 'soft' the entire midfield is out injured. Still must admit MU are managing to win despite a similar raft of absentees. Think the Gunners have good players but poorly coached.
