The Reds have been able to bolster their attacking ranks during the winter window, with Darius Henderson having arrived on a short-term deal from Millwall.

McLeish feels he is now well-stocked in the goalscoring department - with Billy Sharp, Simon Cox and Dexter Blackstock already at the club - but acknowledges that he needs to bring in players to provide ammunition.

Forest have been strongly linked with a move for Birmingham winger Chris Burke, and McLeish admits he is hoping to get business done before the month is out.

"We have been pursuing a wide-man," McLeish told the Nottingham Evening Post.

"We have been playing quite narrow in midfield and it has put the onus on the full-backs to get forward.

"If I want to play with four or five in the middle, we need people who can cross the ball or beat their man.

"At the moment things are at a standstill."
