Clubs eye Millers starlet

Sky Sports understands that a host of clubs are checking on Rotherham United starlet Nicky Walker.

Last Updated: 18/12/12 at 10:59 Post Comment

The 18-year-old winger has impressed hugely at youth level, which has caught the eye of clubs from the Premier League and Championship.

Walker, who scored over 20 goals in pre-season alone for Rotherham's Under-18 side, has been promoted to the senior squad in recent weeks and Steve Evans handed him his debut against Cheltenham Town.

The likes of Swansea, Reading, Norwich, Blackpool and Charlton have all scouted him this season and are known to be keeping close tabs on Walker - who is yet to sign a professional deal at the New York Stadium.

he solution is to not feel sorry for any of Jabba, Gold or Sullivan. They're all deeply unpleasant and all deserve each other. If only West Ham would sign Barton and Suarez then no one would ever need to despise any other club.

lassic management. Build them up and then knock them back. Raise expectations and then dampen them. Create a dynamic where by you demand the most from your team, but where the team are given room to manoeuvre unexpected or unwanted results. Classy work by Van Gaal, he really reminds me a lot of me. A smart cookie, make no doubt.
