Karl Robinson: Into third year as MK Dons manager

Sky sources understand an approach has been made to the League One club as Blackpool seek a replacement for departed boss Michael Appleton.

Appleton left for Blackburn last week after less than three months at Bloomfield Road, and the Seasiders have already sought permission from Dundee United to speak to Peter Houston.

Those discussions are still pending, and Robinson has now emerged as an alternative candidate.

The 32-year-old has been in charge at Stadium MK since May 2010, winning 68 of his 144 games.

News of Blackpool's approach led Sky Bet to cut Robinson to odds-on favourite for the job.
