Elliot Grandin: Has received some advice from Paul Ince

The French midfielder impressed during the Seasiders' 2010/11 Barclays Premier League campaign, but has featured sporadically during their subsequent exertions in the Championship.

Having spent the second half of last season on loan with Nice in his homeland, the 25-year-old has scored three times across six starts and as many substitute appearances this term.

During this time former boss Ian Holloway questioned Grandin's attitude and a pair of substitute appearances at the end of last month against Peterborough and Blackburn saw Ince bring him in from the cold after failing to make the grade during Michael Appleton's brief tenure.

"Elliot has to understand that he may be a very talented player, but it's not all about talent," Ince told the Blackpool Gazette. "You have to have commitment.

"There are a lot of players who are committed who would dream of having his ability, and I've told him that.

"He needs to get himself fit, train the right way and be part of what we are trying to achieve. If he does that, he'll be a very good player.

"If he doesn't, then he'll be sat in the pub in 10 years' time wondering, 'what if?'."

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
