Paul Ince: The Blackpool boss says his squad is stretched just over a week into

Ince's side boast a 100 per cent record after winning both their opening Championship fixtures, but the Tangerines boss is keen to give himself more options to choose from.

Ricardo Fuller, a free agent after leaving Charlton at the end of last season, is reportedly close to agreeing a deal that would see the Jamaican striker move to Bloomfield Road.

Winger Tom Ince, frequently linked with a move to the Premier League, has one more match of a two-game suspension to serve for making an offensive gesture to a match official during last week's Capital One Cup defeat to Preston.

The Blackpool boss has a number of injuries as well as suspensions to contend with, and admits that his resources were stretched during Blackpool's 1-0 win over Barnsley last weekend.

"We know we are short of numbers and you really saw that on Saturday," said Ince.

"We are trying to get players in. The phone hasn't stopped and won't do until we can get a squad in place."

Strikers Michael Chopra and Steven Davies have arrived at Blackpool during the current window, while Liverpool defender Jack Robinson is on a season-long loan.

resumably, you wanted to keep the version of Downing that was never seen at Anfield. The one that another manager has managed to re-create. The one you passed over.
