The 33-year-old Jamaica international was a free agent after being released by Charlton at the end of last season.

Fuller has been locked in talks with the Seasiders this week but has now put pen to paper after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

Crystal Palace were the first British club to sign Fuller back in 2001 and he has since played for Hearts, Preston, Portsmouth, Southampton, Ipswich and Stoke as well as the Addicks.

Stoke bought Fuller from Southampton in August 2006 and he spent six seasons at the Britannia Stadium as the Potters clinched promotion to the Premier League and re-established themselves as a top-flight club, making 208 appearances and scoring 50 goals.

Fuller, who has played 73 games for Jamaica, will wear the 19 shirt for Blackpool, the same number he sported at The Valley last term.

He told the club's official website: "As a striker, we live and die by scoring goals or not scoring goals. Hopefully, I'll continue to do my best and score goals, create goals and make something happen for the team.

"I'm looking forward to playing as soon as I'm fit enough, or as soon as the manager sees me as ready enough to do my part."

Paul Ince said: "With Ricardo, two years ago he was playing 30-odd games for Stoke in the Premier League and I think since I've been here we've not had that big, strong tough man, who can hold the ball and bully centre-halves," the former Blackburn boss told the club's official website.

"I actually think, looking at the Championship, it's starting to get more physical than it was the past couple of years and you need a physical presence and we've got that in abundance, but I always felt that we needed someone like Ricardo."

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
