The Swans first tested the transfer waters last summer, but were unable to reach an agreement.

Welsh rivals Cardiff City came close to completing a deal, only to see Ince decide against a switch.

He remains a wanted man, though, and it is expected to be only a matter of time before he steps up into the Premier League.

Ince senior acknowledges as much as is expecting to field a number of enquiries during the January window.

He said in the Blackpool Gazette: "It won't just be Swansea who come in.

"But when you see him playing like he did on Saturday (during a 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Bolton), he's going to get attention from other clubs.

"I thought that was Thomas back to his best. He was on a different level.

"Swansea have been in touch with our chairman. Karl (Oyston) is dealing with (Swansea's) Huw Jenkins on that one."

Blackpool would be advised to cash-in on Ince while they still can, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, but the management team at Bloomfield Road are reluctant to speculate on what the future will hold.

Paul Ince added: "Thomas' performances haven't been great lately, but nobody's have. It was great to hear the fans sing his name on Saturday.

"He just wants to play well for this club and on Saturday he looked like he was enjoying his football.

"Whether he's here after January or until the summer, who knows?"

s it the same people that complain about Chelsea that complain about Mayweather? You should by now know what to expect from both, if you can't appreciate how good they are at nullifying their opponents then don't watch them.

do concede though, that getting rid of Luiz has made them less entertaining. In the same way that driving with both eyes open is less exciting, but probably a good idea.
