Michael Laudrup: Would like his Swansea players to prove a point

The Spanish striker, who has netted 13 Premier League goals since his summer arrival from Rayo Vallecano, will miss the trip to West London because of a knee injury.

Laudrup is confident Michu will be available for the game against Aston Villa next Tuesday, but the Dane has challenged his charges to prove they do not rely on one player.

"I think in a few days he could be ready but obviously for tomorrow's game he is ruled out," said the Swans boss.

"But I hope with some good work from our physios he can be back on Tuesday (against Aston Villa). If not he will be back for the week after when we have three games in six days.

"To say you don't miss your top scorer would be a lie but you can't count on one player for the whole season without him getting injured or suspended.

"I think he has played 10 or 11 games on four yellow cards. But now he is injured and out of the game tomorrow."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!

hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.
