Michael Laudrup: Swansea manager quiet on transfer speculation

Laudrup has been linked with Real Betis midfielder Jose Canas and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, who has impressed at West Brom during his loan spell from Chelsea this season.

However, the Dane, who guided Swansea to their historic Capital One Cup win and a place in next season's Europa League in his first campaign with the club, has refused to speculate on any potential targets.

"It's good to hear talk about those players and Swansea because the players are at a very high level," Laudrup told the South Wales Evening Post.

"I would be feeling sorry if you mentioned names and I thought: 'I don't think they are good enough to play here'.

"But you are talking about one player who is the captain of a Spanish side and another who has scored 13 goals with West Brom this season.

"They are good players, and I always like to have good players."

t's why Mourinho is so successful. He gives players a specific, limited set of functions to perform. They are but a cog in a machine. Do no more, do no less. I assume he learnt it from LvG :)

really hope that someone in the mainstream media spots that the Bayern manager played for and managed Barcelona quite well, and thinks to mention it in the build up. That would be really interesting.
