Alfei is highly rated at Swansea and signed a new deal at the Premier League club in the summer to keep him at the Liberty Stadium until 2016.

The right-back, who was on the bench for last weekend's defeat to Arsenal, enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Wrexham last season.

The 21-year-old has yet to feature this term and Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is looking for him to gain first-team experience by heading out once again.

The news has alerted a host of Championship and League One clubs who are keen to bring in the Wales Under-21 international on a temporary basis.
