Michael Laudrup: Swansea boss believes one win will turn season around

The Swans' 3-1 defeat against Tottenham Hostpur took their winless run in the Premier League to eight games and left them only three points clear of the relegation zone.

Laudrup's squad next face 17th-placed Fulham a week on Tuesday followed by games with West Ham, Cardiff and Stoke, and the Dane knows that getting a win under their belt will provide his players with a much-needed confidence boost.

However, they will have to do so without Jonjo Shelvey, who joins Michu, Michel Vorm, Pablo Hernandez, Nathan Dyer, Jonathan de Guzman, Jose Canas and Garry Monk on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.

"We need that little bit of luck and I hope we get it because we do not need much to turn things around," Laudrup said.

"If we were playing poorly all the time it will be a lot more difficult, or if we have three players worried about having the ball it would be a much greater job - but I still think it is only about getting a win.

"There are a lot of teams in our situation in terms of points.

"We can go out now and win one or two games in the coming fixtures and things will change.

"Of course it will change the number of points and the position in the table, but it will give the whole team confidence because that is the only medicine and the next four games are important."

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
