Renato Ibarra: Contract in Holland is running down

It has been reported that the highly-rated winger has been the subject of several Premier League scouting missions.

Swansea City are among those said to be leading the chase for the 23-year-old Ecuador international.

They have been alerted to his potential availability by a contract which is running down and has no extension in place at present, despite Vitesse holding a two-year option.

Ibarra is said to be willing to take on a new challenge after three years in Holland, but his current employers say they have been given no indication that an exit is imminent.

Technical director Mo Allach told Voetbal International: "The agent of Renato visited us recently. He was going round to other clubs as well.

"We have talked about the contract of Ibarra but we haven't made a decision yet.

"I don't understand where that information (interest from afar) has come from."
