Nathan Dyer: England dreams alive for Swansea winger

Dyer has been one of the stories of the opening weeks of the Premier League season, scoring the winner against Burnley and then two goals against West Brom to briefly take his side to the top of the table.

Some felt Dyer was unfortunate not be selected by England coach Roy Hodgson in his squad for the games with Norway and Switzerland and boss Garry Monk felt he and Wayne Routledge could both have been considered ahead of the likes of James Milner and Andros Townsend.

And Dyer says all he can do is concentrate on producing consistent performances for the Swans to keep his name in Hodgson's thoughts.

"Obviously it would be an honour to play for England and any player would love to play for their country," Dyer said.

"I'm one of them but I've got no say what happens and all I can do is keep playing well and keep improving for Swansea.

"I'm really enjoying my football at the moment, but I'm going to keep my head down and keep playing for Swansea."

Swansea made light work of West Brom at the Liberty Stadium side as the Welsh club secured their best start to a campaign for 91 years but Dyer feels they can get even better after taking nine points from nine.

"I feel there's more improvement to come," Dyer said.

"The balance of our team when we're attacking can't be too complacent, but we created opportunities with our movement and we've got to take that into the next game."

couple of wins and everything is OK! Sorry you still haven't got a striker who can consistently goals. Keep searching. I don't think Liverpool will make top four not even Europa League this time around.

f he can find the right player? Surely the manager of one of Europe's top clubs has a well-researched short-list and has a good idea of who he wants to bring on-board? If I can find the right player sounds like someone going out on Saturday night on the pull, and the nearer you get to midnight the lower your standards drop.
