Holloway and Palace denied; Boro edge thriller; Leicester salvage draw

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway was denied victory against his former club Blackpool as Middlesbrough edged a five-goal thriller at bottom club Peterborough United.

Leicester City needed a last-gasp equaliser to salvage a draw against Barnsley, Ipswich Town's revival continued against Millwall and Hull City won at fellow high-flyers Watford.

Leeds United came unstuck at Derby County as Bristol City beat fellow strugglers Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town and Charlton Athletic drew at home.

Substitute Nouha Dicko scored an 89th minute equaliser as Blackpool snatched a 2-2 draw at former boss Holloway's second-placed Palace side.

Middlesbrough moved up to third spot after Ishmael Miller scored a 76th minute winner to clinch a 3-2 triumph at Peterborough, who had earlier come from two goals down to draw level.

Jamie Vardy came off the bench to poach a last-minute leveller as Leicester pinched a 2-2 stalemate at home to lowly Barnsley.

Goals from David Meyler and Robbie Brady earned Hull City a 2-1 win at Watford, who scored a late consolation through Troy Deeney.

Sam Baldock scored a penalty in each half as Bristol City twice came from behind at Sheffield Wednesday before Albert Adomah netted an 88th minute winner in a 3-2 triumph at Hillsborough.

DJ Campbell scored a goal in each half as the on-loan Queens Park Rangers striker inspired Ipswich to a 3-0 home win over Millwall.

On-loan striker James Vaughan notched an 87th minute equaliser as Huddersfield claimed a 2-2 draw at home with Bolton Wanderers.

Charlton were denied a celebratory victory to mark 20 years back at The Valley as Brighton & Hove Albion twice came from behind to force a 2-2 draw.

Derby enjoyed an eighth successive victory over Leeds after second-half goals from Jake Buxton and substitute Ben Davies secured a 3-1 win at Pride Park.

Strike duo Dexter Blackstock and Billy Sharp scored second-half goals as Nottingham Forest enjoyed a 2-0 win over Burnley at the City Ground.

Wolves triumphed in their Midlands derby with Birmingham at Molineux as Blues forward Marlon King put through his own net in the 34th minute for the only goal of the game.
