Mark Robins: Huddersfield boss proud of players despite defeat

Robins' side remain rooted in the Championship relegation zone on goal difference having played a game more than fourth-bottom Sheffield Wednesday.

Chris Eagles scored the only goal of the game as he calmly slotted home after Marvin Sordell pounced on an error by Town captain Peter Clarke.

"I thought we played well," Robins said. "I was proud of the players, I thought they gave me everything.

"In all fairness, tonight's game was not going to be a season-defining game - it was a marker for the remaining games of the season.

"We've given a good account of ourselves, I thought we controlled it for the most part.

"We created a lot of chances but just couldn't get the killer touch.

"You've got to give them credit. They're a good side, they've got top players in the team.

"From our point of view, it was disappointing not to get anything from the game but, having said that, it was a good performance."

Robins added: "There's six games against teams that are around us now in the division that certainly will give us a chance to move out of the area we're in."

t's wrong to be making a joke out of Bender's name at the expense of gay people. It's the kind of childish, uncivilised thing that Football365 would deride and ridicule if it was another media outlet saying. Why is there a need for jokes like this? Does it make your writers feel like men? F365 might suggest that I 'lighten up', but it is genuinely traumatic for people who have been oppressed all their lives to be the butt of jokes, and to be told...

ou can't blame De Gea for wanting to leave, he has enough to do in front of goal as it is as well as taking on the role of Man Utd's version of Derek Acorah in trying to contact and organise a defence that isn't there.
