James Beattie: Adds to his options

Windass, 19, has played a key role in manager James Beattie's pre-season schedule and has been rewarded with a contract at the Store FirstStadium.

"I'm buzzing about it," the former Huddersfield trainee told the club's official website. "The gaffer has been different class and it's a great start to my first taste of first team football.

"I've been playing youth-team football which is all pass and move and nice stuff but at this level it's all competitive and you have to win. It's a great opportunity.

"I can think about the season now and how hard I need to work to get in the team. I want to just get myself in there and start playing games."
