This, after centre-back David Mirfin had headed the Iron into what looked like a match-winning lead with two minutes remaining.

That followed a 69th minute missed penalty by veteran striker Chris Iwelumo shortly after he had come off the bench to breath some life into a struggling Scunthorpe attack.

But two minutes into added time the Daggers grabbed a last-gasp point.

"It does feel like a defeat," confessed Laws. "I thought this set of players had learned how to see out a game when we were in front, I really did.

"But then to throw away a goal in stoppage time the way we did was really disappointing.

"And what makes it even more disappointing is the fact it was the first we have conceded this season because we have been defending so well."

But Laws was honest enough to admit his side did not deserve more than a point.

"If I am honest, a draw was about fair," he said. "Credit to Dagenham, they came here with a game plan and performed it well.

"And they had a couple of good chances early in the second half to take the lead. The warning signs were there for us and it was a let-off that Dagenham could not take those chances.

"We did not play well, but could still have won the game.

"That's four points that we have let slip away and we have got to learn form that.

"Teams are going to come here and make life difficult for us and we have got to learn how to overcome that.

"We need our strikers to start being sharper. If not, then we might have to look to do something else."

ood lord that's got me unnecessarily excited. Damn you Storey. Cut to Liverpool being crushed under the wheels of Sparky's Stoke Machine and Firmino brought off the bench to no effect. It's the hope that kills you.

think he'll do quite well. My only reservation would be Kagawa, who had similar stats to Firmino in the bundesliga before he came, but time will tell.
