Leam Richardson: Real team effort

The Spireites are unbeaten in League Two and top the table after five matches. Rochdale are the only team to take points off the Blues, drawing 2-2 at Spotland, with Paul Cook's team winning their other games against Bury, Cheltenham, Southend and Portsmouth - scoring 10 goals along the way and conceding only three times.

Chesterfield's only defeat came against Leeds at Elland Road in the Capital One Cup but their performance during the 2-1 loss to the Championship club drew much praise from the opposition and pundits alike.

Cook and Richardson will be hoping their side can maintain their unbeaten start in League Two and their 100% home record when their former club Accrington, who are currently bottom of the table with just one point, visit the Proact Stadium on Saturday.

Richardson insists everyone has played their part in such a positive start to the campaign.

He said: "Every result we have had has been a squad win. You don't win matches or leagues with 11 players you win them with a squad.

"It really is a group effort. And it is not just the players - it is everyone connected to the squad and the staff, everyone is part of what we are trying to achieve here both on and off the pitch.

"On the pitch we have players coming on and scoring winning goals, keeping those in the team on their toes. You need that competition. Over the course of the season every single player will play their part at some stage."

othing screams 'Panic!!' when your new manager brings Fellaini on as a sub for your star signing of the summer and within 5 minutes you concede the winner. I know it is only the first game in but I would seriously be sh1**ng myself I was a Man Utd supporter. This has the potential of being very nasty indeed.

n the words of Pete Townsend, meet the new boss, the same as the old boss. Though I would comment that it's 3 more points than we picked up in the same fixture last year, so that's a 100% improvement.
