Solomon Taiwo: Luton Town midfielder tracked by Football League clubs

The Nigerian-born anchorman has been in fine form for Conference side Luton Town where a string of exceptional performances have attracted interest from the likes of Hartlepool United, Bury and Portsmouth as they look to spearhead their promotion challenge for next season.

Taiwo is currently out of contract with Luton and as yet no new deal has been agreed, but he has not ruled out staying with John Still's side next term.

The situation has alerted Taiwo's suitors to his possible availability as a free transfer.

Taiwo started his career at Dagenham & Redbridge and, after a hugely successful two years with the club in which he picked up their player of the year award at the end of the 2008-09 season, he was snapped up by Cardiff in the summer of 2009.

The midfield hard man has amassed over 80 League appearances and clubs are actively monitoring his situation.

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
