Town have yet to appoint a new manager following Simon Grayson's departure, meaning caretakers Steve Eyre and Mark Lillis will continue in charge.

The Terriers have just one win in 14 games, whilst Cardiff - who are ten-points clear at the top - have lost just once in their last 14.

Second placed Leicester City are the form side in the division with five successive wins and they take that record to bottom of the table Peterborough United - who remain six points off safety.

Both third placed Hull City and Watford in fourth are live on Sky Sports this weekend. On Friday, Watford get the chance to move into second - albeit possibly for less than 24-hours - as they host Crystal Palace, who could also jockey into second with victory at Vicarage Road.

Hull take on Brighton at the AMEX Stadium in the late kick-off on Saturday, looking to continue their promotion push.

Middlesbrough will look to end their woeful run of form as they host third bottom Barnsley in a Yorkshire derby at The Riverside.

Burnley could close to within one point of the play-offs as they travel to neighbours Bolton Wanderers - who sit just three points off the bottom three.

Wolves' current plight is even worse than Bolton as they are two points further off the pace and they entertain Leeds United at Molineux in desperate need of the spoils.

Sean O'Driscoll gets a quick chance to come up against Nottingham Forest as his former employers travel to Bristol City - who are second from bottom. New boss Billy Davies, who succeeds Alex McLeish at the City Ground, does not take charge of Forest until Monday.

Blackburn look to bolster their charge to a play-off spot as they host Ipswich Town at Ewood Park.

Blackpool, another team still without a manager, have just one win in eight games and will look for an upturn in their fortunes against Millwall at Bloomfield Road.

Charlton look to end a run of two successive defeats as they host Birmingham - who if they win at the Valley will climb above the Addicks.

Finally, Sheffield Wednesday host Derby County at Hillsborough, with the Rams sitting just six points off the play-offs. Wednesday are four points off the drop-zone.

s there a PR agency covering Begovich, Odemwingie, Steven Fletcher and Grant Holt or something? Why would you offer a quote like that without having been announced by either club. #headsshoulderskneesandtoesgone

adly this is inevitable. No club outside the top 4/5 can hang on to anyone who shows that kind of talent anymore. Might be best for them to get as much as they can now while his stock is high and start again. On the plus side lads, Grant Holt is still available.
