Posh shock Leicester; Cardiff held to draw

Leaders Cardiff were frustrated at Huddersfield, while rock-bottom Peterborough shocked second-placed Leicester in the Championship on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Barnsley enjoyed a dramatic win at Middlesbrough, while Leeds were pegged back by Wolves as the strugglers bagged a welcome point.

Rock-bottom Peterborough shocked second-placed Leicester by halting their five-game winning streak with a surprise 2-1 triumph at London Road. Grant McCann's 88th-minute winner sealed the upset for Posh to deny the Foxes the chance to close the gap on Cardiff at the top.

Leaders Cardiff were frustrated to a goalless draw at managerless Huddersfield to prevent them from building on their advantage at the summit of the table.

Jason Scotland's 76th-minute winner saw Barnsley triumph 3-2 in a dramatic encounter at Middlesbrough, condemning the hosts to a fifth straight defeat.

A poor day for the leading sides continued in the late kick-off as high-flying Hull City went down 1-0 at Brighton thanks to Vicente's late goal, which keeps the Seagulls very much in contention for a play-off spot.

Sheffield Wednesday came from two goals behind to peg Derby to a 2-2 draw at Hillsborough and stretch their unbeaten run to five games, with goals from Leroy Lita and Miguel Angel Llera sealing a share of the spoils.

Managerless Blackpool pulled off a comeback at home to Millwall as goals from Tom Ince and Nathan Delfouneso handed the Seasiders a 2-1 win.

Lowly Wolves narrowly sidestepped defeat late on against Leeds as Danny Batth's stoppage-time equaliser sealed a 2-2 home draw at Molineux.

Manager Dougie Freedman's changes proved inspired for Bolton as two of his second-half substitutes - Craig Davies and David N'Gog - scored to complete a 2-1 comeback win over Burnley, who had gone ahead through David Edgar's opener.

Steve Davies and Marvin Elliott scored in the second half for Bristol City to inspire their 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, who will not come under the care of new manager Billy Davies until Monday.

Goalkeeper Stephen Henderson's second-half own-goal was enough to give Blackburn a 1-0 win at home to Ipswich, who remain close to the relegation places.

Charlton appeared to have snatched a late triumph at home to Birmingham when Yann Kermorgant scored two minutes from time but the Blues came back for a 1-1 draw thanks to Wade Elliott's stoppage-time strike.

All Platini is doing is making billionaries pay measly fines, so he and his cronies can get rich. If a fool can pay 50 mil for David Luiz, he will happily pay some fine to UEFA. FFP has failed as for it to succeed UEFA had to take it...
