Lowe: To reaquaint with Shakers

The Shakers currently lie two points adrift of safety in 23rd place in League One, with just one win in their last nine outings.

But Lowe, who netted 53 times in a century of appearances for the club, says he remains focussed on collecting three points for the Dons.

"I left them on good terms and I've still got a lot of friends there," he told the club's official website.

"I speak to a lot of the players regularly as well as the chairman, and their captain Steven Schumacher is one of my best mates so it's going to be a little bit emotional.

"They're struggling down the bottom at the moment and they haven't been picking up many points.

"It's not nice seeing one of your old teams fighting relegation but I've got to be professional and do my job.

"Hopefully, though, they can get themselves out of the mess - after this game, of course.

"It was always going to be tough for them in this league but it's a great club and I hope it stays in this division."
