Gigg Lane encounter called off

Stevenage's League One trip to Bury at the weekend has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

The Gigg Lane playing surface has been covered since Saturday evening but failed to beat frost and sub-zero temperatures.

A local referee confirmed the postponement after a Friday morning inspection.

Boro and Bury will work with the Football League to arrange a new date for the fixture.
