Bury have bolstered their defence with the signing of Fleetwood left-back Dean Howell on a two-month loan deal.

The 32-year-old played three matches for the Shakers during a previous loan spell in the 2008/09 season.

The former Morecambe man will remain at Gigg Lane until January 5.

Meanwhile youngster Regan Walker has signed a two-year deal, his first professional contract with the Shakers.
