Rangers have been drawn away to Forfar Athletic in the opening round of the Scottish League Cup.

The newly-promoted Glasgow outfit, who were among the unseeded teams in the draw, travel to Station Park for the all-second division tie on Saturday, August 3.

Premier League new boys Partick Thistle have a home tie against Ayr United while first division champions Queen of the South entertain Annan Athletic.
