None of the champions' squad made it onto the four-man shortlist for the Player of the Year award, an outcome manager Neil Lennon last week branded "abysmal".

But three Celtic defenders - Adam Matthews, Kelvin Wilson and Charlie Mulgrew - and midfielder Victor Wanyama polled enough votes to make the team line-up.

Motherwell, on course to finish as runners-up, also have four players in the side - goalkeeper Darren Randolph, centre-half Shaun Hutchinson, midfielder Nicky Law and striker Michael Higdon.

Higdon, the SPL's top scorer, is included alongside his three fellow nominees for the individual award - Hibernian's Leigh Griffiths, Aberdeen's Niall McGinn and Andrew Shinnie of Inverness.

Team of the Year: Randolph, Matthews, Hutchinson, Wilson, Mulgrew, Wanyama, Law, Shinnie, Griffiths, McGinn, Higdon.

f I were Manuel Pellegrini I would keep quiet and hope the Board didn't notice City not winning anything. If he isn't sacked I'd be astonished.
