Georgios Samaras: Greek striker content at Celtic

The 28-year-old Greece international joined the Hoops on loan from Manchester City in January 2008, before signing a permanent deal the following summer.

He has one more year remaining on his contract and says he will discuss an extension at a time to suit both parties.

"I have one more year of my contract and hopefully I will be here next season," said Samaras.

"Six years is a lot but it has gone so fast and when you feel good at the club, people are looking after you and you feel you are part of a big family, I cannot see a reason to leave.

"But it is too soon to speak about a contract. When they are ready and I am ready then we will have a chat.

"But we have plenty of time, don't worry."

Meanwhile, French defender Steven Mouyokolo has been training with the Celtic squad at Lennoxtown.

The 26-year-old centre-back is a free agent after his contract with Wolves was terminated by mutual consent in January.

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
