Beram Kayal: Confident he is over his injury problems

Wanyama has been linked with a move to England with Cardiff and Southampton expressing an interest in the Kenyan.

Kayal has endured an injury-hit 18-month spell since suffering a serious ankle injury in a derby clash with Rangers.

The 25-year-old is confident he is over his injury problems and is happy Celtic boss Neil Lennon has backed him to be the perfect replacement should Wanyama leave.

"I'm happy if the gaffer says I'm the man to come in and play all the games," Kayal told the Daily Record.

"Victor's a great player, and a great friend to me, too.

"We play together in the midfield and he has proved himself in the Champions League that he's a great player at the highest level.

"If he goes, we'll be losing a great player and a great friend and I'll work hard to get into the team. I just want to come back and show everyone the real Beram Kayal.

"I'm 100 per cent and can play all the games and give my best, but I don't decide whether the club buys players or doesn't buy players because that's the gaffer's job."

Does it make your writers feel like men? F365 might suggest that I 'lighten up', but it is genuinely traumatic for people who have been oppressed all their lives to be the butt of jokes, and to be told...

ou can't blame De Gea for wanting to leave, he has enough to do in front of goal as it is as well as taking on the role of Man Utd's version of Derek Acorah in trying to contact and organise a defence that isn't there.
