Neil Lennon: Targets swift title party for Hoops

The Hoops lost 2-1 to Aberdeen on Tuesday, ending their 26-game unbeaten start to the campaign and their 13-match run without conceding a goal.

But Lennon insists the players should be praised for their efforts rather than the negative reaction which greeted their defeat at Pittodrie.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's home match against Inverness, the Celtic manager, whose side boast a 21-point lead atop the table, said: "We move on.

"Twenty six games shows excellent consistency and in those games there were 12 or 13 clean sheets which was remarkable.

"I think the achievement should be applauded rather than taken for granted and the players can be very proud of it.

"There are 11 games to go so another four could see us win the title and we want to do that as quickly as possible.

"Then it will be a case of blooding some younger players as the season goes on before looking ahead to next season."

ell, if he'd be unable to reject an offer from Barcelona or Madrid, he may as well join Arsenal while he's waiting for them to call. It's a logical progression.

h ha ha, excellent. Let's hope he goes on the run. Then they hunt piggy down for scoffing all the apples. At least he's done something right - he has united football fans, regardless of who they support, against FIFA and all those at the top who have been bleeding the game for their own means and giving nothing back.
