Ally McCoist: Campbell playing mind games

Rangers take on hosts Forfar in front of the Sky cameras on Sunday and Campbell has suggested the Glasgow giants winning the crown is a foregone conclusion.

McCoist says neither he nor his player will be taking any game for granted - and he pointed to their 2-1 League Cup defeat at Station Park last month as evidence that over-confidence will not be allowed.

McCoist said: "I think Dick is probably playing mind games there. He knows, and in most people's eyes, we are favourites to win the league, we accept that.

"We never say anything that would disrespect our opponents but Dick is obviously stating what he feels would be the obvious.

"I hope that is the case but it's not for me to say it. Our boys will be focused totally on Sunday to win the game as will Dick's team as well.

"I would imagine he will be saying something different to his players in the dressing room rather than Rangers will have the league sewn up by Christmas!

"It will be a tough game on Sunday, they are a big side with Darren Dods and big Marv (Marvin Andrews) at the back and (Chris) Templeman up front with (Gavin) Swankie off him.

"So they are good side and they have the potential to make it very difficult in defence and attack and at set plays they have big players."

The game will be live on Sky Sports 3 from 12.30pm on Sunday.
