The central defenders picked up injuries in the 2-1 defeat of Victoria Highlanders in British Columbia and will be assessed before Wednesday's clash with Ottawa Fury.

Former France U20 international Faure is causing most concern having left the Centennial Stadium in a knee brace following extensive treatment on the field while ex-Hearts defender Zaliukas suffered a groin strain in the closing stages of the match.

Manager Ally McCoist is keen to avoid any further injuries at TD Place having already lost the services of full-back Ricky Foster (hamstring) and Fraser Aird (knee).

Assistant manager Kenny McDowall told the club's official website: "We won’t know how Sebastien and Marius are straight away but hopefully they will be okay.

"We don’t want injuries mounting up but we brought 25 players with us to North America because of how intense our schedule is.

"When you’re playing so many games in such a short timescale you can pick up injuries. We’ll see how the boys are then we’ll take things from there.”

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
