Rhys Murphy: On trial with Aberdeen

Sky Sports understands that the 22-year-old has linked up with Derek McInnes's squad as he seeks a move back to Britain.

The former Arsenal youngster had spells on loan at Brentford and Preston before opting for a season in Holland.

He joined Telstar on a one-year deal and has started over 20 games, scoring seven goals, and they have offered him fresh terms.

However, Murphy is looking for a deal back across the English Channel and is trying his luck at Pittodrie with a view to sealing a deal for next season.
