Nadir Ciftci: Has made an immediate impact in Scottish football

The 21-year-old forward only moved to Tannadice over the summer, following his release by NAC Breda.

He has made an immediate impact in Scottish football, netting seven goals in 12 appearances in all competitions.

His efforts have helped to make him a firm fans' favourite, and McNamara is aware of the need to tie such talents down long-term.

Ciftci's current deal is due to run until 2015, but he will be offered the opportunity to extend that agreement on fresh terms.

McNamara told the Daily Record: "I'd be keen to sit down and talk to Nadir about extending things.

"He's done exceptionally well in his short time here and has great attributes."
