Rudi Garcia: Could use his knowledge of French football to make changes at Roma

Roma failed to qualify for Europe last season after finishing sixth in Serie A and they also lost the Coppa Italia final to arch-rivals Lazio to mean there is a need to overhaul their squad.

And ex-Lille manager Garcia wants to attract some star names, possibly from Ligue 1, as he seeks to return his new club to a powerful force in Europe.

"There are a lot of players that could attract me at Lille but also in France," he told media in a press conference.

"Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini knows the Italian market well. I know the French market. We will use our abilities to hire big players."
