Mathieu Valbuena: Future at Marseille remains uncertain

The French midfielder has been linked with a move to England, with Arsenal and Newcastle mentioned as potential suitors.

And although L'OM enjoyed a successful season, finishing second in Ligue 1, the 28-year-old insists his future remains unclear.

"My contract has been automatically prolonged for one season due to Champions League qualification," he told L'Equipe.

"But we will see what happens in the summer."

However, the Les Bleu international admits that he feels very much at home at Marseille, and should he have to remain at the club, then he will be more than content with that.

"I know what I have at Marseille, and what I owe the club," he added.

"I hope to play in an ambitious and competitive team, and I trust my officials to build that."
