Marseille defender Rod Fanni has been called into the France squad by coach Didier Deschamps after Bacary Sagna was forced to withdraw with a hamstring injury.

Rod Fanni: Will join up with the France squad next week

Arsenal full-back Sanga sustained the injury during Tuesday night's UEFA Champions League victory against Napoli and is expected to be out for three weeks.

Fanni will instead meet up with the rest of the squad when they convene at Clairefontaine on Monday.

France play a friendly against Australia on October 11 before facing Finland in their final World Cup qualifier four days later.
