Moussa Konate: Keen on moving to the Premier League

Konate spoke of his desire to join a Premier League club in the summer after impressing with Senegal at the London Olympics but eventually opted for a Russian switch, joining FC Krasnodar.

However, the 19-year-old has struggled to settle in Russia since arriving from Maccabi Tel Aviv in August and is already targeting a European move.

Southampton are believed to be monitoring the striker, while Ligue 1 trio Bordeaux, Sochaux and Rennes have all been linked.

Ahead of his move to Krasnodar, it was thought that Konate had also turned the heads of Norwich, West Brom, Swansea, Fulham and Stoke.

Reports have surfaced suggesting his agent is in England working on a move to bring him to the Premier League and Konate would relish the switch.

He told Le Sport: "I have not settled in Russia and would welcome an opportunity to play in England or France."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
