Claudio Ranieri: Completed the signing of another striker

The 19-year-old Italian's arrival follows Sunday's signing of Anthony Martial from Lyon and he joined up with his new team-mates as they began pre-season training today in Italy.

The 6ft 1in frontman emerged from Inter Milan's youth system and earned Italy Under-17 honours but has led a nomadic existence in the last 18 months.

A loan spell at Parma followed by short-lived moves to Ukrainian side Metallurg Donetsk and then to Cyprus, where he scored seven goals in 13 games even as Olympiakos were relegated to the second division.

Another newcomer, former Valenciennes defender Nicolas Isimat-Mirin, also joined the squad today but higher-profile signings Radamel Falcao, Ricardo Carvalho, James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho will not return to training until July 9, when the team move on to Austria.

really hope that someone in the mainstream media spots that the Bayern manager played for and managed Barcelona quite well, and thinks to mention it in the build up. That would be really interesting.
