Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Has received praise from Thiago Silva

Ibrahimovic has been linked with a move away from the French champions but Silva says that it important the club hang on to him in order to be competitive in the Champions League.

Speaking to L'Equipe, Silva said: "Will Zlatan stay? I don't know. You know how important he is.

"He is a winner and a friend too. We had a phone call but we didn't talk about his future. I hope he will stay.

"We were close to beating Barcelona in the Champions League last season. This year I expect us to do well again and I think we could win the Champions League."

Ibrahimovic scored 30 goals for Paris Saint-Germain last season.
