Isaac Cuenca: Set to gain experience in the Eredivisie

The 21-year-old has seen his chances limited to substitute appearances at Camp Nou and he will instead seek to become a regular in Amsterdam.

Ajax coach Frank de Boer used his Barca connections to secure the services of Cuenca on a deal that runs until June 30th and sees both clubs pay 50 per cent of his wages.

Cuenca joined the Blaugrana from Espanyol at the age of 12 and has risen through the ranks before making his debut for the first team in October 2011.

Earlier this term the youngster suffered a knee injury that has seen him unable to push himself for a place in Tito Vilanaova's table-topping side.
