Jeremy Mathieu: Linked with Barcelona

The 29-year-old France international has been rumoured to be one of the players tipped to be on Barca's list to strengthen their back four during the summer.

However, Mathieu is not thinking beyond continuing to impress for Valencia and playing for them for the last year of his current contract, at least.

"Any player likes a team like Barcelona but I only have one thing in my head and that is Valencia," he told Onda Cero Valencia radio station.

"I am closing in on the end of my career and I am almost 30 and I what I know for certain is that it would be great to end my career here.

"Now I have a year left on my contract and would end my playing days with this club."

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
