Dominguez: Ter Stegen ready

Alvaro Dominguez believes Borussia Monchengladbach team-mate Marc-Andre Ter Stegen would be a hit at Barcelona, regardless of his age and experience.

Marc-Andre Te Stegen: Being strongly linked with a summer move to Barcelona

The 21-year-old goalkeeper is reported to be a top target for the La Liga giants as they start to prepare for life without Victor Valdes - with the Spain international set to move on at the end of the season when his contract expires.

A summer switch is said to be in the offing, with Barca planning long-term.

It has been suggested that Ter Stegen may struggle to handle the expectation at Camp Nou, having only been a Bundesliga regular for two full seasons.

Dominguez is, however, of the opinion that quality outweighs inexperience - although he would like to see his talented colleague remain in Germany for a few more years.

"There's no such thing as being too young when you are good - and Marc is very, very good," he told Bild.

"I am just happy that he plays for Gladbach and I hope that he stays here. He can always join Barcelona in five years' time or so if he keeps up this form.

"We have not spoken about Barcelona yet."

e have the personnel. The trick is keeping them fit. Carrick and Blind have missed large chunks of the season, while the defence has been one muddled mess of intermittent stooges, all coming and going at various intervals thus far. We may be just short of title winning quality, but we're half way through. An injury crisis to either of the top two could change things. Optimistic, yes, but not unrealistic.

arish is the man to blame for this shambles. Pulis must be chuckling into his left over turkey sandwich. I pray this doesn't mean the Neil Warnock media machine will kick in now and he'll be back on the telly box.

e almost found a new way to lose, just when I thought it was getting boring Giroud does that. Although Arsenal are deservedly called 'soft' the entire midfield is out injured. Still must admit MU are managing to win despite a similar raft of absentees. Think the Gunners have good players but poorly coached.
