Juan Cuadrado: Future up in the air

Reports in Spain had claimed that Barcelona were close to concluding a deal for the 26-year-old, but a move is unlikely to be resolved until Fiorentina have finalised terms with Udinese.

But even then Dalla Valle suggests that Cuadrado will be staying with them, rather than moving on.

"These are delicate moments, we are trying to sign the whole ownership of the player," confirmed Della Valle.

"We are working and we are in the final phases. For Florence it is good news."

Should Fiorentina finalise an agreement with Udinese, it remains to be seen whether they will indeed keep him or sell him.

Meanwhile, one deal which was completed by Fiorentina was their move for Romanian goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu - who joins on a Bosman free form Steaua Bucharest.

resumably, you wanted to keep the version of Downing that was never seen at Anfield. The one that another manager has managed to re-create. The one you passed over.
