With it looking unlikely the current Premier League champions will defend their title this season, speculation has suggested the former Atletico Madrid star could return to Spain.

But Aguero, a £38million signing in the summer of 2011, has no intention to quit City and he feels a unique connection with the club.

Ahead of Sunday's crucial game against Chelsea, he told City's official website: "I'm very happy at City and I feel appreciated and loved here which means a lot to me.

"It's been barely more than a year-and-a-half since I've arrived and sometimes I feel like I've been here for all my life.

"How could I forget that? More to the point, why would I want to forget that?"
