Falcao: Praised by Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone

The prolific frontman is thought to be a target of both Chelsea and Manchester City, while Atletico's Primera Liga and city rivals Real Madrid have also been heavily linked.

Simeone revealed that he talked to the highly-rated Colombian striker before the Europa League final last season, before the speculation over his future even begun.

"Everything that happens with Falcao I am fine with because I know the boy," Simeone told reporters.

"We spoke about everything before the final against Athletic. We talked about the fact that he would have offers to go to one of the world's biggest clubs.

"That is the norm with the great players.

"It will all depend on any agreements with other clubs. I know Falcao and believe he deserves only good things to happen to him."
