Courtois is yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues, joining Atletico on loan after arriving at Chelsea from Genk in summer 2011.
Chelsea are thought to see the 21-year-old as a long-term successor to current No.1 Petr Cech, who is in his ninth season at the club and turns 31 in May.
But the Belgian is happy to remain with the Primera Liga side, with reports in the Spanish media suggesting negotiations are underway between Chelsea and Atletico to extend his loan deal.
Courtois, who is contracted at Chelsea until 2016, said: "I am happy, I like my life here, my team-mates.
"It is not just my decision, Chelsea and Atletico also have to talk.
"But everyone knows I like it here and, if I can, I want to stay."
